It may look like I’m doing nothing, but I’m actually multitasking! I’m on holiday, in a deep squat, getting some vitamin D while hydrating.
1. Holiday - Taking time off from your daily routine, seeing and appreciating new places, cultures and cuisines, recharges you more than you can imagine. Always make and take time to travel, it broadens your horizon more than you can imagine.
2. Deep squat - I’ve written about this multiple times and the issues I’ve had with even getting into a squat position. I ensure I get into this position everyday, no matter what. Most of us have forgotten its importance opting for the convenience of chairs. I run a software company and I know I spend too much time sitting at a desk. I’m not saying ditch chairs but get into this position at least once everyday.
3. Vitamin D - We live in a sunny country, yet a majority of Indians are deficient in Vitamin D and don’t even know it. I was too. If you’re feeling lethargic, have aches and pains, you may be too. Get yourself tested if need be, spend some time in the morning sun and if needed supplement (on advice of a medical practitioner).
4. Hydrate - Our bodies are mainly made up of water. We all know this. If you’re not drinking enough water and staying hydrated, you’re doing your body a huge disservice. Stay hydrated, it’s the simplest thing in the world to do.
